Document viewer features
The bar on top of the document in the editor contains the document viewer features.

When a feature is active, the button turns dark gray. That helps you distinguish active from inactive buttons

Panel and page zoom buttons
The panel view 
shows thumbnails of the document pages and allows you to access the individual pages by clicking on one of the thumbnails.
If you hover over the right border of the panel view, the cursor turns into a double-headed arrow. You can then use drag & drop to change the width of the panel view.

Good to know:
RedactManager reloads the content dynamically (on demand and pagewise).
That is why you can only see the annotation markings on the panel view thumbnails of the pages you have already visited.
If you click on the thumbnail of a page you have not yet visited, the markings on that page will appear as well.
Refreshing the page is equivalent to restarting the app. It will reset the display, i.e., the markings on the thumbnails of pages you visited before refreshing the browser will disappear.
That is one of the reasons why we recommend not refreshing the browser if possible.
Click Load all annotations 
to load the annotation markings on all thumbnail pages at once.
The selection mode is the default mode that allows you to select text.
Click Pan to move the displayed document area. That is useful if you have zoomed into a page.
The mouse pointer turns into a hand you can use to move the document.
Return to text selection by clicking Select or pressing "Esc".

Use the Rectangle feature to select and redact larger areas, e.g. graphics, logos, and paragraphs of text.

Rectangle redactions are a type of manual redaction. For a step-by-step guide on how to create a rectangle redaction, please see Rectangle redaction.
The Compare feature compares the currently opened document to another version of the same document redacted outside RedactManager. That allows you to check whether RedactManager would redact the same passages.
Click Compare.

The file explorer opens, and you can select the document you want to compare to. The document appears to the right of the document you have opened in RedactManager.
Click the button again to leave the compare mode.

You can enable the annotation tooltips in the Editor by clicking Enable annotation tooltips. The annotation tooltips show the information contained in the corresponding workload annotation and are displayed when you hover over the markings in the document.
Click the button again to disable the tooltips.

Click Rotate page to rotate the current page.
Click Apply or Discard to confirm or discard the new page orientation. Once you have rotated a page, the two options will appear next to the Rotate page button.

As long as you do not click on Apply, the page will be marked with a small rotation arrow in the page list in the Workload. That shows you that you still have to confirm the page rotation.

Click on the magnifying glass or press CTRL+F, and enter your search term.

Alternatively, you can select a passage in the text. A magnifying glass appears under the text. Click the magnifying glass to see if the selected passage appears elsewhere in the text.
You can narrow your search as follows:
Case-sensitive filter:
Check the box to do a case-sensitive search.
Whole word filter:
Check the box to limit the search to whole words.
Press Escape on your keyboard to close the search sidebar in the document viewer.
Mark a text passage and click Copy 
to copy the selected text. The copy feature is helpful if you want to use the selected text in another context.
Only available in the Preview.
The default color for redactions in the Preview mode is the preview color. Click Show redactions as in final document 
to show the redaction as in the final document (unreadable).
