You can use this feature to create new dossiers.
Users can edit the properties and settings of a dossier.
Dossiers can only be deleted if no documents have been uploaded yet.
Only dossiers with the Approved status can be downloaded. In addition to the redacted documents, a downloaded dossier may contain the following documents:
| ||||||
Dossiers can be filtered by all properties displayed in the dossier list. In addition, there is also the "My Dossiers" quick filter, which only displays the dossiers the user has been assigned to as the Dossier Owner.
The Dossier Owner can be changed using the Edit Dossier feature.
Users with the Manager role can assign new dossier members to a dossier.
Managers and Dossier Owners can fill in values for the dossier attributes set by the admin.
It is constantly being monitored if changes to a dossier template, the dictionaries, and rules defined for a dossier make a reanalysis necessary. A dossier can only be changed to the Under Approval status if it has been analyzed based on the latest configuration of dossier template, dictionaries, and rule sets. The reanalysis is carried out automatically in the background.
RedactManager automatically creates a dossier dictionary for each dossier. Managers and Dossier Owners can access it. Only the Dossier Owner can create new entries. New entries are useful if specific redactions are to be made in a dossier that do not apply to other dossiers.
A Manager can recover deleted documents within 96 hours. After this period, the documents will automatically be deleted permanently.
The download package is configured when the dossier is created. This determines whether the download package includes redaction reports. |

Manager | User | Dossier Owner | Approver | Reviewer
All documents must be uploaded to a dossier. Otherwise, you will not be able to process and edit them.
This feature is only available for documents that have not yet been assigned a Reviewer. If a Reviewer is assigned, the Reviewer may always delete the document.
The document list can be filtered according to different categories. Quick filters offer additional filter options.
The system monitors for each document if a reanalysis is required due to changes to the dossier template, the dictionaries, the rule set, or manual redactions. A document can only be moved to the Under approval state when the dossier template, the rule set, and the dictionaries are up-to-date. The analysis can also be carried out individually for each document. The reanalysis is carried out automatically in the background.
This feature is used to perform OCR (automatic text recognition) on a document.
There can be multiple Approvers in each dossier. When you assign an Approver to a document, you can choose from the dossier members with Approver rights.
Only users with the Manager role can assign other users as Reviewers.
Dossier members can assign themselves as Reviewers of a document. The prerequisite is that a Reviewer has not yet been assigned to the document. Users with the Manager role and/or the Dossier Owner permission can change the reviewer of a document and assign themselves as a reviewer.
Users who are Dossier Owners or Approvers in a dossier can reset the status of a document (from In Approval to In Review or from Approved to In Approval ).
Only documents that have the status Approved can be downloaded. In addition to the redacted document, the original document, the preview document and a redaction report (Excel or Word) with information about the redactions can be downloaded.
Users can upload preview documents to a document that have previously been created with RedactManager. The redactions contained in the preview document are then imported into RedactManager.
Users assigned to a document as Reviewers or Approvers can disable the automatic reanalysis, perform the reanalysis manually while automatic analysis is disabled, and re-enable the automatic reanalysis.
Users who hold the Reviewer or Approver permission for a dossier can download a dossier's CSV report. This report provides an overview of the documents in a dossier (including metadata) and the respective processing status. |
