Redaction Workflow

RedactManager is a redaction tool that reliably identifies, classifies, and redacts confidential and sensitive information in documents. The redaction workflow for documents in RedactManager is as follows:

Basic workflow

  1. Manual/Automated upload: The first step consists in uploading the documents to be redacted into a dossier.

Automatic document analysis and annotation: RedactManager automatically analyzes uploaded documents, redacts, and anonymizes sensitive information. It relies on individually stored rule sets, dictionaries, and machine learning. OCR ensures automatic text recognition.

  2. Manual changes (optional): Users can then manually edit the auto-generated redactions in the editor: They can approve and remove redactions, and add further redactions if needed. Upon completion of manual changes and review, the document is ready for approval.

  3. Export of redacted documents and redaction reports: Managers can download the final, redacted version of approved documents. If all dossier documents are approved, the entire dossier can be downloaded. RedactManager also generates the required redaction reports. The reports list all redactions and provide transparency for regulatory compliance.

Good to know:

The described workflow refers to the processing of dossiers and documents. We have depicted it here for information purposes.

If you hold only the admin or user admin role, you will not be directly involved in editing and approving documents. However, as an admin, you can influence the redaction process.
