Patches
Bug fixes:
Fixed occasional connectivity issues when opening RedactManager
Fixed issues with downloading > 2GB packages
Bug fixes:
Fixed issue with in-document search opening unexpectedly
The in-document search now remains closed when you carry out other actions.
Fixed issues with page navigation while in-document search is active
Security fixes:
Fixed Cross-Site Scripting vulnerability in the PDF handling functionality that could lead to account takeover
Issue: A malicious PDF file prepared by an attacker would have been able to execute scripts in the victim's browser, posing risks of session hacking, website defacement, or redirection to unsafe sites.
Resolution: We have enhanced PDF sanitization to better recognize non-standard JavaScript elements, effectively mitigating this risk.
Fixed theoretical clickjacking vulnerability on the dashboard
Issue: Clickjacking allows attackers to trick a user into interacting with a page in unintended ways. The former Content Security Policy (CSP) was not restrictive enough to completely prevent clickjacking, should an attacker have figured out a way to exploit this vulnerability.
Resolution: The appropriate CSP 'frame-ancestors' directive has been implemented, sending response headers that instruct the browser to disallow framing from external domains.
Bug fixes:
Fixed issue with workload column in the file list
Issue: The workload column still showed the "R" indicator after all redactions in that file were removed.
Resolution: The workload column now updates correctly after redaction removal.
Improvements:
We adjusted the text alignment within watermarks.
You now receive a warning message if you edit dossiers that use an expired dossier template.
Fixed issues:
The dossier states are displayed in the correct order in Home (according to the rank set by the Admin).
The last update date of in the document list is now updated correctly for all changes.
The keyboard shortcuts ("F" and "CTRL+F") in the document viewer of the editor now work smoothly.
The redactions in the download now correspond to the redactions in the app preview, even if pages were excluded and included again before the download was generated.
Hide skipped now remains active even if you change the page; the corresponding button in the workload filters (Editor) is also always displayed correctly.
All file actions are now available when the app is used in full-screen mode.
Fixed issues:
Simultaneously opening several file attribute files for editing is not possible anymore.
False-positive action dialog now picks the correct context when the same term has been marked as false-positive in different contexts.
The open/close state of the Document Info is now the same as when I leave the document.
Fixed issues:
Issue with creating download packages for big dossiers (> 1GB)
Dossier Dictionary editing discards previously saved entries
Issue with text visibility in PDF files with specific fonts
Redaction removal dialogue does not show value that will be removed
Page navigation/turning issue in the Editor when the in-document search is activated
Improvements:
You can edit the file attribute values during the reanalysis of the file.
A processing spinner is displayed when processing a large number of dictionary entries. The Save Changes button is grayed out, as it is inactive during processing.
Fixed issues:
OCR processing has been improved in terms of handling page rotation.
The UI caching mechanism has been improved to better support the web browser’s memory management.
Dossier
RedactManager automatically removes hidden text during the OCR processing. Once the document has been OCRed, only the recognized text remains.
For further information on OCR, please see here.Features and actions in dossiers
You can now enter the file attribute values directly in the file list (list view) if the respective file attribute is displayed in the list.
The Edit icon appears when you hover over the corresponding file attribute column. Click it, enter the value, and confirm by pressing Enter or clicking the checkmark.

Enter file attribute value

Editor
RedactManager reloads the annotations dynamically (on demand and pagewise).
That is why the thumbnails in the panel view only show the annotations only on the pages you have visited.
If you want all annotations of a document to be displayed in the thumbnails, click the Load all annotations button in the panel view.

"Load all annotations" icon
If the document contains over a thousand annotations, you will be warned that this might affect the app's performance or even block it. Deactivate the warning message in your account's Prompts and Dialogs settings if you do not want to receive it.
For further information, please see Panel view.PDF features
You can open the search sidebar in the document viewer by pressing CTRL+F, and close it by pressing Escape (Esc).
For further information, please see Search and copy text.PDF features

Patches
Security fixes:
Fixed Privilege Escalation vulnerability
Issue: Users with the user admin role—limited to managing user accounts—were able to reset the password of application admin accounts (admin role).
Resolution: The user admin role has been restricted to prevent changes to accounts that hold higher privileges and secure application admin accounts against unauthorized modifications.
Bug fixes:
Fixed an issue with duplicated permission entries
Issue: Repeated duplication of permission entries caused database pollution, leading to timeouts during permission requests.
Resolution: The duplication of permission entries is now prevented.
Improvements:
We corrected the text in the license information section and the copyright year in the email template for license reporting.
We adjusted the text alignment within watermarks.
Improvements:
If your RedactManager license is capacity-based, the license information page provides information about the used analysis and retention capacity.
